As a company, we are working hard to do our part. And with you, we hope, and believe, we can make a difference. While we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we do take that very seriously.

But then there are companies, primarily not for profit companies, that take it to a much different level. Who’s mission is to make an extreme difference in the condition of our planet, and all of us that inhabit it. These are companies we love, so we wanted to share them with you.

Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans, primarily from rivers. And the plastic that’s afloat within the oceans isn’t going away by itself. To effectively solve the problem, we need to both turn off the tap and mop the floor at the same time.

The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit organization, is developing and scaling technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. Our aim is to put ourselves out of business once the oceans are clean.

Since charity: water was founded in 2006, we’ve been chasing one ambitious goal: ending the global water crisis. And while the water crisis is huge, we’re optimistic. We know how to solve the problem, and we make progress every day thanks to the help of local partners and generous supporters. If we work together, we believe everyone will have access to life’s most basic need within our lifetime.
